A GEORGE 2nd PERIOD FOUR DOOR BREAKFRONT BOOKCASE circa 1730

Commissioned for the privately owned 75m (245ft) super yacht Leander (featured in International Boat Magazine)

Designed to compliment their surrounding decoration, this pair of bookcases were made from English Burl Walnut and Solid English Oak. The hand dovetailed drawers are constructed from solid English Oak and drawer fronts are veneered with Burl Walnut, complimented by a delicate herringbone straight-grained walnut inlay with cockbead molding. Featuring glass doors with Burl Walnut glazing bars, candle pull rests and adjustable shelving, the piece was finished with finely cast brass handles.
