A SHERATON PERIOD MAHOGANY LADIES WRITING TABLE circa 1795

Commissioned for the privately owned 75m (245ft) super yacht Leander (featured in International Boat Magazine)

Designed to compliment its surrounding decoration this piece is made from solid Swietenia Mahogany throughout and stands on finely turned fluted tapering legs. The hand dovetailed drawers are constructed from solid Oak and the drawer fronts are veneered with fiddleback mahogany and a delicate inlay of tulipwood finishing with a delicate cockbead molding. The writing surface has a hand dyed leather inlay and gold tooling. The finely cast brass handles are exact copies of the originals and are hand made using the lost wax process.
