A SHERATON PERIOD MAHOGANY CENTER WRITING TABLE circa 1795

Commissioned for the privately owned 75m (245ft) super yacht Leander (featured in International Boat Magazine)

Copied from a photograph only this piece is made from solid Swietenia Mahogany throughout and stands on projecting facet turned corners with fluted legs.The five hand dovetailed drawers arranged around the arched kneehole are made from solid Oak linings with the drawer fronts veneered with ripple mahogany finishing with a delicate cockbead molding. The writing surface has a hand dyed leather inlay and gold tooling. The finely cast brass handles and cup castors are exact copies of the originals and are hand made using the lost wax process.
