Chippendale Period Mahogany Serpentine Dressing Chest
A CHIPPENDALE PERIOD MAHOGANY SERPENTINE DRESSING CHEST circa 1760

Commissioned for the privately owned 75m (245ft) super yacht Leander (featured in International Boat Magazine)

Constructed from Swietenia Mahogany throughout and standing on bracket feet with fluted canted corners .The graduating hand dovetailed drawers are constructed from solid Oak and the drawer fronts are veneered with mirrored mahogany curls with a delicate cockbead molding .The rails separating each drawer are veneered with fiddleback Mahogany. Below the top is a brushing slide with a hand dyed leather inlay and gold tooling decoration .The finely cast brass handles are exact copies of the originals and are hand made using the lost wax process.
